Jon and Dany both die, but enough time passes in the final season that they have a child together, to be cared for by Tyrion – who will be identified as the “Third Head of the Dragon.” In fact, that might be why he lives; one of the dragons saves him, but none of the dragons survive the war, so they’re extinct for real this time.
Tyrion rules no kingdom, but is still very popular in the brothels of King’s Landing, which are now managed by Podrick. Employee satisfaction has never been higher, wink wink. Tyrion’s ward has dozens of doting and protective mothers.
The Iron Throne gets destroyed and whatever is left of the Seven Kingdoms breaks up, so there is no crown to inherit. Varys leaves for Essos, but promises to come back when Jon and Dany’s child is old enough, in order to reunite the realm. Melisandre dies just like she expects, alone and forgotten.
Arya will cross everybody off her list whom doesn’t die by other means, but she ultimately dies because she got too damn cocky, just like her teacher Syrio. I don’t think Jaqen is going to kill her, though. A man is not motivated by petty revenge. I do think we’re going to see Jaqen assassinate somebody whom thought they were finally safe after surviving the whole bloody affair, like Bronn.
Jaime stays true to form and becomes the Queenslayer too, killing Cersei. For her part, Cersei’s paranoia gets the better of her and she betrays Qyburn. Euron is outmanuevered and sunk by Davos, who enjoys a quiet retirement.
The Hound goes down killing his brother for good, but not before The Mountain takes out a couple other major characters, notably Jaime and Beric – the latter for the extra irony of a man who keeps coming back to life being killed for good by an actual zombie.
Sansa rule The North and marries Gendry. He’s a good and honest man, but sadly, Sansa has suffered and learned too much to be a loving partner. She knows she can manipulate Gendry and sees his political value if the Seven(?) Kingdoms ever reunite.
Bran sacrifices himself as part of the plan to stop the Night King. Jorah sacrifices himself to protect Dany, but before that, he meets Lyanna and receives a pardon for his crimes. Little Lady Mormont, the ultimate badass, goes on to rule Bear Island as a legit war hero. Theon dies redeeming himself. Yara retakes the Iron Islands, but has struck up a friendship with Lyanna, so there’s no more raiding (on the coast of The North, at least).
Tormund wins the heart of Brienne and she takes him back to Tarth, as a great big “fuck you” to the local lords whom belittled her. Dolorous Edd, the guy who always expects to die, lives, but there is no more Night’s Watch to lead. Sam, Gilly, and Little Sam are safe and happy in Old Town.
Missandei and Grey Worm go back to Essos, in hopes of preserving a true peace and freedom there. Daario dies beause he sucks. Hot Pie dies because it wouldn’t be Game of Thrones without some pointless cruelty.
The life or death of anybody I didn’t mention is irrelevant because they’re such minor characters, lol.
